Driving to Blackburn
Picking up one of WHO's finest around Epping sort of way which leaves 2 options:

M1/M6 Toll

Or

M11/A1M to Leeds, left and over.

There's about 1 minutes in the quoted journey time and a similar difference.

No issue with the toll or anything like that, just wondering for anyone that tends to drive in that direction what way you'd go!

I always look to avoid the M25 but hopefully around half 7 am, it'd be fine.

Irons.

I drive up there all the time.
Use the M11/A14/A1(M) better than looking at the road works up the M1.t

There's always something wrong with the M1. I got stuck on it a couple of months ago, took EIGHT hours to drive to Newcastle.

A1 then across on the M62 avoid the M1 like the plague. I was on it on Sunday large chunks at 50mph due to the introduction of the smart motorway.

Just ask any Man U season ticket holder the best way then. They'll know most of that route like the back of their hand.

I think I'll be doing A1 from Harlow. Leaving about 8 and heading for a pub called The Golden Cup?

Don't bother parking in car park H behind the Blackburn/Ronnie Clayton End unless you fancy sitting in a stationary car shouting at dopy cunt stewards for well over an hour after the game.

I could be wrong but that pub, the Fernhurst, is closed I think. Not sure about parking now as I used to just park in there.

Re: Driving to Blackburn
I live not far from M6 toll and it's always clear. That said, on a Sunday morning M6 will be fine so avoid the rip off toll.

Best bet is M6-M65 by Bamber Bridge but that exit is a bit of a shithouse. Then head towards Blackburn/Darwen.

M1, A50 then M6 from Stoke. Never really had any problems with this route.

Re: Driving to Blackburn
I live up north & would avoid M6 like the plague

I usually head over towards Leeds then A1 if going south these days

Think we're due for some snow later in the week & getting across the Pennines in bad weather can be a real mare (the M62 is quite high above sea level)
